DISABILITY AND CHILD SUPPORT

 

One in five people in the United States has at least one form of disability. Disability affects people in many ways and child support is among them. Whether it’s the parent paying support, the supporting parent or the child who is disabled, the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) helps families with disabilities.

NEED TO CHANGE YOUR ORDER?

It may be if there has been a change in circumstances. While child support orders are meant to provide consistency in the support of children, there may be times when an adjustment to the support amount is appropriate. The California Family Code requires that courts order child support based upon the Guideline formula.

VICTORVILLE COURTS HAVE MOVED
 

Beginning Nov. 9, 2020,  child support and civil matters will be relocated (civil harassment, elder abuse and name changes) in Victorville. We will relocate to Dep. B5 at the Barstow Courthouse.
